Lousiana Medicare to Arkansa EClaims

MBSENS.EXE

1. DA0 field #4 instead of I or P. They require the use of M to indicate that Medicare and some other carrier is also responsible for payment. This only affects MCARE LA2AR claims.

2. FA0 # 23 is the rendering provider ID. No changes in programming where required since this is a field found on Att Phys Table under carrier type 3.

3. Type of Service Codes must be blank. Medicare LA to AR claims can not use type of service codes. In the past clients have not entered a TOS code in the Procedure code table for the procedure cross-over. The program was modified so that for Medicare Lousiana to AR claims the type of service is always blanked out.

System Integrator : Corrected the problem of running totals not updating as charges were been entered. This was consequence of adding the 2 new fields to demographics to support MSP Medicare as Secondary payor. The Integrator had not been re-linked to support the field changes made to support the new added fields.

This eliminates the PIER to PIER problem of having to have a library copy for each user on the network in the user directory. NOTE: clean out the existing copies off the user directories.

All MBS users insterested in this new feature.

This patch provides a new feature to MBS users. Posted charge transactions Diagnosis Code field can now be updated. Previously a posted transaction could not be updated. The only way to change any information on the charge transaction was to reverse such entry and re-enter it with the changed information. But now if all you need to change is the diagnosis code in the diagnosis code field in the charge entry facility of a posted transaction YOU CAN! Simply search for the record to be updated, change the diagnosis code as needed, and press F8 to update the record. IT IS THAT SIMPLE! Enjoy!

When Billing Schedule setup indicates to insurance type billing T by carrier type. And the claim has already been filed and paid in full. The message "carrier type not available in payers." continues to appear on claim formatting. This was changed so that if balance is zero on that claim and a claim has already been filed then to set the next process date to 999999. This makes claim process never to have to look at these claims again. Resource Scheduler report. Report by appointment type was modified to correct the restriction was appt type was not working.
