We have udpated our E-claims and 8.1 upgrade to install easily in Windows 95. This install program will make all the needed changes and simply the setup of rEDI-Blue.
MBS NSF electronic claims format now supports Medicare as Secondary payer. Two new fields were added to the demographics to indicate per payer code the insurance type code. Use F9 in the primary Insurance Type code field for valid values. These codes are also used to indicate Medicare Secondary reason codes. Previously MBS did not allow any claims to secondary payers to be filed electronically. This can now be overwritten by explicitly indicating an electronic claim format in the secondary form# field within the payer code table.
Internal/Recall/Statement Notes are now able to posted to a specific invoice. Corrected code so that the last charge selected or whatever invoice number displayed in the invoice number field prior to a Shift F2 Notes invoking, it is used to create the note to that invoice. Affected files are MBS02.EXE Patient Demographics, MBS05.EXE Charge Entry MBS06.EXE, Payment Entry MBS23.EXE, Account Inquiry, and MBS72.EXE Collections FOllow Up.
