Asymptomatic fluctuations in blood pressure create difficulty in diagnosing and controlling the hypertensive patient. Since drug interaction problems are not always detected by the sporadic measurements of blood pressure used in clinical and home settings, M+ Sante has come out with the latest and most innovative way to help physicians with the hypertensive patient, the Diacard.

Diacard is a unique innovation to the world of science and technology. Diacard is the only product using the smartcard technology to measure the patient's ambulatory blood pressure, integrated into a blood pressure cuff, over a one month period.

Additional data is recorded accurately and efficiently for the physician. Also, reducing clinical anxiety on the patient, allows them to take a more active role in the balanced-control of their hypertensive condition.

DIACARD operation is simple, precise and non-invasive. Patients operate the home blood pressure monitor which automatically inflates to comfortable pressures, defaults in a controlled fashion and signals the end of the cycle. Patients are then prompted by the signal light to insert their smartcard into the monitor console. The monitor transfers the date, time, pulse rate, systolic and diastolic readings to the card for subsequent guaranteed availability to the physician.

The Diacard software, operating in Windows, allows accurate data management and reporting. Boolean logic restrictions and graphic representation of the data provide the physician quick recapitulation of the data in an understandable format.
