Next Generation Regulatory AI Overview
HData’s Regulatory AI is a powerful tool designed to accelerate and enhance regulatory analysis. With its new capabilities, Regulatory AI provides deep insights, transparent citations, and AI-driven summaries to help users quickly analyze large volumes of regulatory documents. Get started by watching the video and read the overview below.
Creating an AI Session
Getting started is simple:
- Click Create a New Session in the upper right corner of the Regulatory AI interface.
- Select up to 50 documents from one or multiple catalogs in the HData Library.
- Begin analyzing documents with AI-generated summaries and interactive search capabilities.
Exploring Documents with Insights
Regulatory AI introduces the Insights feature, which offers suggested questions. Insights can be searched by keyword and/or filtered based on the following categories: key topics, people mentioned, dates and events, and companies and entities. This makes it easier to explore relevant information across selected documents. Filters persist across searches in a session or can be reset for a new custom search.
AI-Powered Responses
Regulatory AI delivers more detailed responses with added transparency:
- Suggested follow-up questions to refine research.
- Answer-level insights, explaining how responses were generated.
- Citations, ensuring verifiable accuracy.
Interactive and Customizable Analysis
Users have access to interactive and customizable controls and settings in Regulatory AI, and each session is automatically saved, allowing users to return anytime to continue their research.
Regulatory AI users can:
- Revise questions to refine answers.
- Generate new drafts of responses.
- Manage sessions by duplicating, deleting, or renaming them.

Using the Files View
Toggle to the Files tab for advanced sorting and filtering. The Files View makes it easy to identify key documents, or create a new session based on the most relevant files.
- Sort by catalog or file name alphabetically, or sort by citation count
- Click the title of any file to open the document in a new tab
- Click anywhere in the pane to see file metadata or navigate directly to the docket or case associated with that file.
- From here, you can toggle over to the citations from any individual file, and see an AI-generated summary of the file.
