Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic and outcome-oriented Content and Communications Manager to lead marketing initiatives and content development across multiple channels. This role combines content strategy with execution, focusing on engaging our target audience through compelling thought leadership and product education. In this role, you’ll be responsible for communicating effectively with prospects and customers at all stages of the customer journey.
This role will work collaboratively across marketing, sales, customer success and product teams. It is a fit for those with a proven track record of creating high-quality content from ideation through execution. You will thrive if you are proactive, approach your work with ownership and autonomy, and enjoy thinking critically about energy topics and questions.
Key Responsibilities
Content Marketing
- Develop and execute a comprehensive content marketing strategy to educate customers and prospects, and to generate demand
- Create high-quality, engaging content including guides, case studies, product education articles and product videos
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate complex concepts into accessible content
- Maintain editorial calendars and content workflows to ensure consistent publishing across website, email and social media
Product Launch Communications and Customer Marketing
- Lead content strategy and execution for new product launches and feature releases
- Create launch materials including product announcements and customer-facing collateral, slides, videos and Knowledge Base articles
- Collaborate with customer success and sales teams to identify content gaps and opportunities
Email Marketing
- Develop and execute email marketing campaigns that educate and nurture prospects
- Own monthly email newsletter to customers, prospects and broader HData ecosystem
- Refine and optimize campaigns to drive consistent awareness and engagement
Social Media Management
- Develop and implement social media strategies for LinkedIn and YouTube
- Own the social media calendar and execution of content
- Monitor social media conversations and engage with followers and industry discussions
- Identify trending topics and opportunities for timely, relevant content
Webinar Strategy and Planning
- Develop webinar strategies that align with marketing and sales objectives
- Plan and coordinate webinar topics, speakers, and promotional campaigns
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop engaging webinar content
- Manage follow-up campaigns to capture interest from webinar attendees
Earned Media and Thought Leadership
- Identify and pursue speaking opportunities at industry conferences and events
- Develop award submission strategies and coordinate application processes
- Build relationships with industry publications, journalists, and influencers
- Position company executives as thought leaders through strategic content placement
- Own and pursue earned media coverage for major news and announcements
Role Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in B2B marketing for software solutions
- Energy industry experience and knowledge of the regulated energy landscape
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with portfolio of published work that demonstrates ability to develop high-value content
- Experience leveraging AI for content creation and optimization where value is added and efficiency is increased
- Proven ability to learn software products and communicate effectively about value, features, and use cases to the full funnel
- Proven ability to strategize and execute effective email marketing campaigns with clear objectives and measurable results
- Experience owning social media management and creating compelling content to engage and educate followers
- Experience planning and hosting virtual events, specifically product and thought leadership webinars
- Proficiency with HubSpot Marketing Hub, CMS and CRM
- Video production and editing experience (basic to intermediate level)
- Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with Canva
- Strong project management skills; Highly organized and proactive communicator
- Demonstrated success in environments where resourcefulness, individual ownership and high autonomy are expected
Role Requirements
- This position is remote and open to candidates based in the United States.
- Central Time is the primary time zone for business hours. This role is expected to be available on a Central Time schedule.
- Employees travel twice per year to meet in person for company All Hands sessions.

The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $120,000 annually. HData also offers:
