The Role
We are seeking a driven and resourceful SDR (outbound sales representative) to join our growing sales team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective customers, responsible for generating and qualifying leads through proactive outreach and inbound channels. You will focus on top-of-funnel activities (cold calling, email campaigns, and LinkedIn engagement) to identify key decision-makers and spark interest in our regulatory intelligence platform. You will also lead initial discovery calls to uncover prospect needs and determine fit before handing off to Account Executives.

Responsibilities
- Qualify inbound leads and ensure they meet criteria before passing them to Account Executives
- Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting through cold calls, personalized emails, and LinkedIn outreach to generate qualified meetings for Account Executives
- Lead initial discovery calls to explore prospect challenges, assess fit, and create a seamless handoff to Account Executives
- Research target accounts and industries to identify key decision-makers and tailor messaging to their specific pain points
- Collaborate with Account Executives to develop account strategies and support pipeline growth
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting activities in HubSpot
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for qualified meetings booked
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and role-playing exercises to continuously improve your skills
- Provide feedback to the marketing team on messaging effectiveness and campaign performance
- Stay current on industry trends and the competitive landscape in the energy sector
Your Future
This role is designed as a stepping stone to an Account Executive position. Top performers who consistently meet their targets and demonstrate readiness for full-cycle sales will be considered for promotion within 12–18 months. As you progress, you will gain exposure to discovery calls, product demonstrations, and deal negotiations to prepare you for the next step in your sales career.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or a customer-facing role
- A bachelor's degree in business, communication, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot experience is a plus)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Experience within the energy sector or regulated industries
- Experience with outbound prospecting tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, Unify)
- Experience working in a startup environment
- A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets or quotas
