The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Technical Product Manager to lead two critical, interconnected pillars: our external API data partnerships and our core platform foundation. As HData’s extensive regulatory data—spanning dockets, FERC filings, and rate cases—evolves into a sought-after standalone product, enterprise partners are leveraging our intelligence to build their own capabilities. Simultaneously, we are scaling from a single-product solution into a robust ecosystem of specialized applications, requiring a unified, high-performance infrastructure built to sustain long-term growth.
Positioned at the nexus of engineering, data, and commercial strategy, you’ll collaborate with technical leads and external stakeholders to ensure HData’s data is programmable, scalable, and ready for our global partner network.

What You'll Do
API Partnerships & Data Productization
- Own the external API product roadmap, aligned to HData's internal data availability
- Define API contracts: entity taxonomy, identifier standards, payload structure, freshness guarantees, and provenance metadata
- Serve as the primary product point of contact with technology partners through design, implementation, and iteration
- Collaborate with legal and leadership on API usage terms, data licensing, and storage constraints
Platform Foundation & Application Architecture
- Own the platform layer that powers both the core HData product and every application built on top of it
- Define the shared services, contracts, and architecture patterns - user identity, multi-tenancy, notifications, admin controls, cross-app navigation - that new applications plug into rather than rebuild
- Work with engineering to document and refine the patterns so that each successive application ships faster than the last
What You Bring
- 5+ years in product management, with at least 2-3 years owning APIs, developer-facing products, or data infrastructure
- Demonstrated experience defining and shipping API products: contract design, versioning, developer documentation, and partner support
- Familiarity with enterprise SaaS architecture - multi-tenancy, identity management, notification systems, event-driven architecture
- Ability to write a tight technical spec, hold a detailed API conversation with an enterprise partner, and translate both into prioritized engineering work
Bonus Points
- Experience working in or adjacent to regulated industries (energy, finance, healthcare, or legal/compliance)
- Background in data platform or marketplace products where external developer/partner adoption was a key success metric
